Cats and Rats
When we moved into the house on the hill we inherited 3 or 4 stray cats. Two of them made it to winter and then one of them stuck around and had kittens. So no we have the mother cat, 4 kittens from the first litter and now she has 3 new kittens.
When she had the original litter she would bring up an occasional rabbit, mouse or mole, no big deal really.Yesterday when I got home I found this rat. Almost as big as the mother cat laying next to the box for the newest kittens to munch on. I'm not sure where she found this rat and I'm not sure I want to know. This is a serious "Terminator" size rat. The tail was at least a foot long.
